I believe that the process of (re)learning to trust our body instincts and cues is worthwhile, albeit sometimes slow and scary. It deepens connection with ourselves, our cultures, our loved ones.
I hope to offer support to increase your capacity and agency to practice intuitive nourishment, while disentangling how diet culture and economy, mental health and additional determinants of health have impacted our inherent body-knowing. Increasing understanding of our needs takes time and will be full of errors and learning; “low and slow, simmer and go” as I like to call it.
My background in nutrition research, eating disorder care, harm reduction knowledge, public health training, systems-thinking, and own personal gut journey have brought me here. I am full of gratitude that you are here, too.
I am committed to my ongoing training and education to better serve and provide care for BIPGM (Black Indigenous and People of the global majority) and trans people. I am an anti-diet provider here to increase space that is body-affirming, fat positive, and celebratory of all genders, sexualities, ethnicities, cultures, and abilities.
